Reflection 2: Constructing Identities- Sociocentric and Egocentric On or before the due date please upload your paper to the appropriate dropbox in MLS by 11:59 PM. 3 pages, double spaced in (12 font). Chapter SIX discusses two forms of ‘selfhood’; egocentric versus sociocentric (pages 165-166). Think about the difference between these ways of looking at yourself and your identity. Reflect on your own everyday sense of self and how you might also construct yourself or your identity for others on social media sites. Reflect on the complexities of self by using the four questions under Beyond the Book 6.3 (Ch. 6, pg.167) as a guideline. Your WHAT section must deal with your own sense of self and the constructed social media aspect using the questions as a guideline. In the SO WHAT part, reflect on what you learned about yourself after having reflected on yourself and your identity in relation to these questions? The NOW WHAT part must consider what your strategies are for moving forward in life after having thought about these identity questions and/or any other questions that may follow from this exercise. While the assignment is slightly different from the previous one in terms of the questions asked the format is basically the same.
