Project is an essay comprised of two parts. Part A should be no more than 5 pages in length. Part A 4 Theories. Write a approximate one page (approximate) for each you choose (4 pages total): 4 Theories Person-Centered Therapy Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) Choice Theory/Reality Therapy Gestalt Therapy Use the following subheadings for each therapy: What are the key concepts/assumptions that are essential to this theory? (One paragraph) What do you consider to be the most important goal of this theory? Why? (One paragraph) What are a few of the counseling techniques you would want to incorporate into your practice as a school counselor? (One paragraph) Part B of the paper, should be no more than 2 pages in length. APA format should be followed throughout. For the second section, select two of the theories from part A that you think will work best for you as a counselor. Next you will apply them to one personal issue you have experienced (does not need to be real). Write a case summary (for each theory) using your personal identified problem. Use the same scenario for each theory. Include the following sections: Why are you choosing this theory? (minimum half page) Description of the problem. (maximum half page) What are your goals for counseling to address this problem? Application of the theory to your problem. Include specific interventions that could be used (minimum half page).
