Problem Section:
The first section of the essay will present the issue or problem that you plan to focus on.
This can be a local issue, an issue on the state level, or an issue on the national level.
Based on your research, you will present two significant aspects of the problem that
make it an issue that needs a solution. Make sure that you explain the problem clearly
so that you will convince your audience that this is a problem that needs to be
addressed.
Solution Section:
The second part will be to propose a specific policy or program (or more than one) that
addresses the problem/issue as you have outlined it in the Problem section. The
solution should address the two specific aspects of the problem presented in the
Problem section. The Solution should state who will implement the solution and what
exactly they will do.
Persuasive Section:
The third part will be focused on persuading your audience why your policy solution is
the most effective way to solve this particular problem – have 2 well-developed
supporting reasons why your solution is the best policy to adopt. These reasons
should directly address the aspects of the problem presented in the Problem section.
