You are encouraged to have an opinion or take a stance about the topic, but every opinion/perspective will need to be backed up with stats, experts, or studies. This can be written journalistically or as a more traditional essay. Citations and attributions will be AP Style (in text, direct quotes); five points will be immediately deducted if written in MLA. This means no bibliography or citation sheet will be necessary, because you will be quoting and citing directly in the essay. 1200-1500 words 4+ sources Needs a strong argument or unique perspective on the issue. One point will be deducted for every grammatical, AP Style, or technical error up to 20 points.
