I have to do a creative project on an essay that I wrote which will attach. Also will be attaching the assignment. My project idea is to write a letter to an elected official requesting funding or something else that would help with Elder Abuse. The idea is a 2k walk/5k run bringing awareness to Elder Abuse. The walk would correspond with World Elder Abuse Awareness Day or WEAAD which is June 15, 2021. I would submit the ideal to Washington County Commission onAging MD hoping they will be interested along with a poster to give the agency an idea of what the walk/run would consist of. Would be similiar in nature of how most cause walk/run are organized. The walk would have an entry fee, along with fundraising goals through teams or individuals. Based on the amount that was raised would depend on the gift the team or individual would receive for their efforts. A fundraiser goal would be established and the request would ask that representatives of Washington County reach out to local businesses to support or sponsor the walk/run. The second part of the assignment would be to create a flyer or poster advertising the walk attached with the letter to the elected official. I hope this makes sense. Thank you
