Giving feedback to classmates discussion post. Savannah Shafer Journal 12 FORUM DESCRIPTION For full credit, compose a developed paragraph that addresses the substance of the prompt, and reply to 2 of your group members, engaging their ideas. Chapter 18 discusses finding evidence for your project. We have already explored the general topic and narrowed it down, as well as conducting primary research. What is needed now is scholarly support for our more specific claims, which involves searching online and in databases. Your book correctly states that, “How well you can navigate these complex territories will determine the success of many of your academic and professional projects” (p. 441). You will need to determine “what kinds of sources you will need to support your project” (p. 442), as well as “how current your sources need to be” (p. 443). On page 445 it provides some tips and best practices for searching online or in databases. You will want to perform advanced searches using Boolean operators (such as “and”) so that you can narrow your search (For example, Climate change and emissions regulations). In this forum, address the criteria listed above, and also give examples of some of the combined search terms you will use to find sources discussing specific aspects of the issue to support your claim. For my topic, I need to find the most current sources avaliable. I got the most information from of online magazine and newspaper articles. I have looked for magaines and newspaper publishers that I am firmilar with so they are reputable. This is a pretty current debate so all of my information found will need to be within the last year or so. For my boolean operators I can look up transgender athletes and NCAA rulings, differences between male and female athletes, difference between cis-gendered females and transgendered females, or differences between transgenders on hormone replacement and transgenders not on hormone replacement pills. Below are a list of sources I have used to help me make my claim. Schilling, F. U. M. A. T. T. (2021, February 26).
