Extra Credit Lab – Find Angle of Sliding The objective of this to find angle of inclination when object on the inclined plane starts sliding. When you are ready to start this activity, click on the begin button. http://www.thephysicsaviary.com/Physics/Programs/Labs/ForcesOnInclineLab/ The screen will look like this: Steps: 1. Click to the least value of friction coefficient, mass and keep gravity as 9.8 N/kg. 2. Click to “Force Gravity, Force Normal, Force Friction”. 3. Now record values of friction coefficient, mass, gravity in a table. 4. Now click to “change angle” and keep looking when block starts sliding on inclined plane. Note this angle and create a column in above table and write value of angle in degrees. 5. Now repeat steps from 1-4 for FOUR different values of coefficient of friction, keeping mass and gravity same and record angle when block starts sliding. 6. Now repeat steps from 1-4 for FOUR different masses keeping friction and gravity same and record angle when block starts sliding. 7. Now repeat steps from 1-4 for FOUR different values of gravity keeping friction and mass same and record angle when block starts sliding. 8. Now make a final data table where show results with least value of angle and maximum value of angle when block slided. 9. Write a full lab report, show data table, a couple of pictures of the experimental set ups when block is sliding and conclusion. In conclusion show the reasoning whey you got minimum and maximum value of angles when block slided. 10. This is Extra Credit Lab to earn extra 100/100 points if you work well and submit in time. Working on this Lab is OPTIONAL. You will get additional 100 points which can be used to replace one of your assignments where you think your got worst grade. This extra points will NOT be added in any exam. You need to type a full lab report and submit in time. .
